During a visit to the Auschwitz Memorial, Christoph Heubner, Executive Vice President of the International Auschwitz Committee, welcomed the renewed conviction of the notorious Holocaust denier Ursula Haverbeck as follows:

"Holocaust survivors strongly welcome the renewed conviction of a woman who for decades has denied the murder of their relatives in Auschwitz and other extermination camps, and thus accusing them of lying. Her grandmotherly appearance is deceptive: Ursula Haverbeck has long since become one of the major international symbolic figures of new and old Nazis, inciting people to anti-Semitic hatred and poisoning the minds of young people."
