With immediate effect, the International Auschwitz Committee is withdrawing from the social media channel X and will now communicate via Bluesky. Speaking in Berlin Christoph Heubner, Executive Vice President of the Committee, emphasized:

“Holocaust survivors are feeling increasingly threatened by Elon Musk’s toxic world view, his contempt for democracy and the aggressive hatred – including anti-Semitism – which are spreading fast on X. The survivors no longer want to be part of a communication system, in which verbal violence, cynicism and lies are becoming increasingly brazen and commonplace on a daily basis.”
