On 30 September 2014 the foundation Remembrance, Responsibility and Future and the International Auschwitz Committee held a panel discussion: ‘I remain an optimist, despite everything’ – Memories of Noach Flug.

Humorous, full of energy, determined – this is how many of the participants in the panel discussion described Noach Flug, the long-standing president of the International Auschwitz Committee (IAC), during the panel discussion organised by the IAC and the foundation Remembrance, Responsibility and Future. “My grandfather was a man of dialogue,” said Boaz Levin, grandson of Noach Flug. Marian Turski, Vice President of the IAC, told of Noach Flug’s ability to seek compromise, and how he succeeded in gaining allies whilst fighting for something.
