Dear Mr. President,

I am happy. I am happy twice, because the populist leaders have lost yesterday both in France and in Slovenia, and you have won in France.

It's a light in the tunnel. It is a hope for Europe in those horrible days. I remember your visit to Poland and the dinner with you in the French Embassy, where I was privileged to participate.

Dear Mr. President, your rationalism, your brightness of mind, your stance on fascism regardless of its provenance, your attachment to European ideas - this is what we need. Good, very good that you have won. Good luck!
