The Förderverein für die Internationale Jugendbegegnungsstätte (IJBS) Oswiecim (Auschwitz) Polen e.V., the Wissenschaftliches Büro Leipzig, the Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft (sdw), and the Erich Zeigner Haus e.V. invite you to a reading by Christoph Heubner on March 23, 2024.

Christoph Heubner (born 1949) is a writer and Vice President of the International Auschwitz Committee. In his books published by Steidl Verlag in Göttingen, he has recorded the accounts and memories of Auschwitz survivors and brought them into literature so that these voices are not lost to us now and in the future.

"For more than four decades, Christoph Heubner has accompanied Auschwitz survivors and listened to them talk about their happiness and pain after "surviving". Almost soberly and yet poetically, he describes men and women with their agonizing memories that shape every relationship shape every relationship until old age."
