As part of their event tour in Portugal, Christoph Heubner and the Trio to RememBer visited one of the world's most beautiful bookshops, the "Livraria Ler Devagar" in Lisbon, on March 1, 2024, to commemorate the Holocaust through literature and music and to provide information about the work of the International Auschwitz Committee.

Literary and musical remembrance of the Holocaust

The writer Christoph Heubner, Executive Vice President of the International Auschwitz Committee, has accompanied Auschwitz survivors for over four decades and listened to what they have to say: Words, feelings and images that accompany people throughout their lives. Time and time again, they face the self-imposed challenge: "Speak of those who can no longer speak!"

The literary remembrance was accompanied musically by the "Trio to RememBer" from Kassel. The musicians picked up on musical references from the stories and gave the texts a further dimension through their interpretation.
